All About BSL Kids

What is it?

Various camps, sessions, and events teaching children the basics of British Sign Language. During each 3 hour session children will be taught the core principles of sign language from our dedicated teacher. They will then take part in games and activities to help solidify the   learning in a fun and adventurous way.

Learning British Sign language can be beneficial in many ways, including;

· Improving hand/eye coordination

· Teaching children second language skills

· Opening up the possibilities for friendships, both at the classes and in the community.

Who is it for?

This project is open to children aged 4 to 16.

Sessions will vary per project

When is it?

The next camp will run from for 1 week in the October half-term holidays 2023, Monday 23rd to Friday 27th October,  at Harrington Youth Club. Check our FaceBook page for updates.

Afternoon sessions: 1pm to 4pm

Children will be expected to attend all sessions.

How much will it cost?

This project is fully funded.

Children may bring money to spend in the tuck shop if they wish.

Important Information:

  • Our dedicated Sign Language teacher is fully qualified
  • All of our staff are DBS checked and first aid qualified
  • We are fully insured for   running these classes
