Deaf Support

Deaf Walking Group

Open to those who are deaf, hard of hearing, including those who use hearing aids, or have cochlear implants.

Our deaf walking group has been set up to help members of the deaf community get out into nature and enjoy the beauty of the Lake District. Our walking guides are hearing and know basic/level 1 sign language. We plan the route and provide all necessary emergency equipment. We are also on hand for emergencies and to communicate to services, etc.

Registration is essential.

Held on the last Wednesday of every month. No need to pre-book.
